Hot on the heels of the wedding-themed, blackly comedic [REC 3]
comes [REC] 4: APOCALYPSE. We have the teaser trailer for you, but it comes with a catch: this is the sales teaser intended for the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival.

Yes, [REC 4] has not yet entered production, so there is no new footage to be seen here. Nevertheless, the trailer gives us a good idea of what the film will entail– a direct follow-up to the original plotline of [REC] and [REC 2]– and seems to suggest a nice wrap-up for the series.

It should easily shake some funding off the Sitges money tree. Check it out along with a synopsis below and stay tuned for further [REC] 4: APOCALYPSE updates.

Angela Vidal, the young television reporter who entered the building with the fireman, manages to make it out alive. But what the soldiers don’t know is that she carries the seed of the strange infection.

She is to be taken to a provisional quarantine facility, a high-security installation where she will have to stay in isolation for several days. An old oil tanker, miles off shore and surrounded by water on all sides, has been especially equipped for the quarantine.
